About the Role

Banana Republic is seeking a Director of Partnerships and Collaborations responsible for developing and executing strategies for impactful partnerships and product collaborations. The role requires strong leadership, creativity, innovation, and a deep network within fashion, entertainment, design and lifestyle sectors.

This Director will be responsible for leading Banana Republic partnerships and collaborations with a focus on growing the brand’s footprint and reaching new audiences that drive brand relevance and revenue. A deep connection to culture and how Banana Republic can be at the forefront will be critical to success.

Key responsibilities include developing a brand partnership roadmap, identifying strategic opportunities and managing end-to-end collaborations - from initiating partnership opportunities to product and marketing alignment, to overseeing executions cross functionally. You will also manage budget, contract and timelines. You should have outstanding leadership, organizational and project management skills with superior written and verbal communication skills

What You'll Do

  • Develop and own the brand partnership and product collaboration roadmap in alignment with overall brand and business objectives.
  • Identify strategic whitespace opportunities that enhance cultural relevance and create commercial value.
  • Continuously monitor trends, cultural shifts, and emerging voices in fashion, design, art, music, and entertainment.
  • Leverage an existing robust network of tastemakers, creatives, agencies, brands and collaborators to source partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of collaborations – from concept development to contract negotiation, guiding product development, marketing and launch execution.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and internal resources to deliver high impact campaigns with a positive ROI.
  • Responsible for planning, budget, KPIs and reporting out end results; strategic direction and agency partners.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for innovation and impact by vetting and putting forth the right celebrities, creators, tastemakers, emerging talent and collaborators in new and exciting ways.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years marketing experience with 5+ years experience in brand building partnerships and outreach to drive relevance
  • Collaborative mindset, with desire to foster partnership and conceptual integration with key cross functional teams (marketing, brand experience, creative, product etc.)
  • Outstanding organizational skills, communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Has broad connections and personality to toggle between leaders in the industry and internal leadership.
  • Ability to determine solutions independently, think creatively, proactively, and implement rapidly.
  • This role will be culturally plugged-in, a strategic thinker and an experienced leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand business challenges and recommend effective implementation plans designed to drive results.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work through ambiguity and infuse strategic, yet swift thinking across level.
  • High attention to detail with demonstrated ability to care for multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs requiring leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with integrated marketing approaches related to brand marketing strategies influencer strategies, experiential activations, affiliate/paid programs, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand business challenges and recommend effective implementation plans designed to drive results.

Salary Range: $168,300 - $223,000 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
