About the Role
In this role, you will work in an energizing, inclusive, and creative environment focused on concepting and creating sustainable product that exceeds customers' expectations. Your goal is to partner with cross functional team members who collectively are responsible for ensuring that the printed pattern designs are more than worth the price for our customers. Responsibilities include participating in the conceptual development of the product line and ensuring product is consistent with market trends and brand strategies. Must lean into risk taking and be customer curious!
What You'll Do
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines.
- Possess an elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color and understand how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter.
- Participates in research and conceptual development of seasonal print direction, as well as gather relevant inspiration outside of apparel that speaks to over-arching aesthetic trends.
- Responsible for design and creation of artwork - painting, digital etc., as well as cleaning of purchased artworks.
- Assists in ensuring that artwork and print direction is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy, drives opportunity for newness and innovation.
- Presents to team at milestone meetings.
- Collaborates with Concept and Apparel Design teams for colorways of prints. Communicates and recommends revisions when needed.
- Create and maintain seasonal color palettes.
- Assist in building presentation boards and materials.
- Reviews production submits in partnership with cross-functional team – ensures aesthetic and execution hold up to aligned standard.
Who You Are
- College degree in Textile/Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 2-4 years design experience, preferably in print design.
- Strong computer skills: NED Graphics Programs - Easy Knit, Easy Weave, Color reduction PRO & Cleaning PRO, Design & repeat PRO, Easy coloring pro
- Strong computer skills: Adobe photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign
- Strong knowledge of CAD systems/software/printers & spectra flow plotters.
- Strong hand skills: Illustration, painting, drawing and digital art skills to be applied to fabric, knowledge of crafting repeats
- Strong time management, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent design and color sense, color matching and creation of colorways
- Solid understanding of design process
- Technical Knowledge: Creating artwork with multiple layers of halftones, with an understanding on how these prints translate from digital to physical, sublimation and rotary printing processes; CMYK printing
- Technical knowledge of sweater construction: Yarn weights, stitches, and fibers and how they translate to print and pattern designs made with NED Easy Knit or illustrator.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of textiles, how different fibers and fabrics take prints, and how to design into the inevitable variability among them, Understanding & execution of print repeats for mills & vendors.
- Trend Forecasting- researching markets to identify new print trends, color, fabric and how they appropriately relate to the brand/consumer through creation of conceptual mood boards to present print direction to merchant and design leadership to gain commercial alignment.

Salary Range: $66,900 - $85,400 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
