About the Role

As a Manager, Process Engineering, you will lead our store operations initiatives through a diversified approach of engineering principles and practices to successfully maximize productivity, quality, and service. You will leverage engineering techniques to establish methods for maximizing optimization with a focus on continuous improvement that positively impacts our business and customers. You will drive strategy to identify opportunities to streamline work, reduce waste, improve productivity, and increase profitability of Old Navy stores. You will lead the retail operations optimization initiatives from proof of concept to scale utilizing engineering best practices with a concentration on process improvement. You will work collaboratively across multiple other areas of the brand to ensure successful project completion. Your role is critical to engineer the methods of retail operations to achieve high employee engagement with standardization, productivity, quality and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze operational processes, identify best practices, and benchmark areas for improvement to balance cost, service, and productivity; own the implementation of proposed changes to achieve desired results.
  • Spend time with Field leaders in stores to understand their needs and pain points, to identify solutions that simplify workload.
  • Establish and maintain effective cross functional relationships with business partners including internal/external customers through education and influence to improve performance metrics.
  • Lead, develop, and implement processes for continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
  • Identify and lead process improvement through consistent analysis methods and standards.
  • Identify best practices, benchmarks, and areas for improvement to balance cost, service, and productivity.
  • Educate and influence operational leaders to improve performance metrics.
  • Responsible for quality of services and advice in meeting business partner's needs.
  • Drive team results and share responsibility over resources, budget, and adherence to policies.

Who You Are

  • 3-5 years Industrial/Process Engineering experience; 1-3 years Retail Store/Operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with time and motion standards systems (MOST), Six Sigma or Lean Practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and workflow management applications.
  • Strong critical thinking and business curiosity.
  • Flexible to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business; able to travel overnight as required.
