About the Role

The Athleta Merchandising team understands both the customer needs and the market to create and deliver the global product strategies that drive profitable growth. From stores to digital, the team delivers the right product assortments to exceed customer expectations. The Merchandising team has the unique ability to synthesize trends and how it intersects with our target customer and unique brand position to deliver the right product to the right channel at the right time and price.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver omni channel product assortments that are commercially-viable and drive profitable growth.​
  • Develop global product strategy for categories, end use and channel opportunities and annual plans for priority Bullseye styles. Responsible for driving seasonal/annual category strategies and supports MM/DMM in creation of 3-5 year strategic LRP.​
  • ​Responsible for the successful creation and execution of a line plans that deliver our product vision in addition to sales, gross margin, sku productivity, and weeks on hand goals across all channels ensuring all targets are met or exceeded.​
  • ​Drive pricing architecture for the assigned product categories, collaborating with product functions and IM teams, which align with our product positioning and deliver upon our customer’s price-value expectations.​
  • ​Assess business opportunities, identifies whitespace, and monitor risks in season through analyzing and communicating sales performance, gathering marketplace information, formulating recommendations and take action.​
  • ​Partner with Inventory Management on seasonal investment strategy by market to ensure big ideas and growth drivers have optimized inventory and seed new ideas to sell out and drive urgency. Accountable for achieving sales plan and driving profitable business.​
  • Analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly selling performance vs plan & propose real-time and forward action to maximize sales, profits and mitigate risks.​
  • ​Seen as a leader within the cross-functional team, and drives team forward, sharing business insights and actions with the team and leading the team through the seasonal product end to end process. Collaborate with Design, Visual Merchandising and PD & Sourcing partners on product strategies and in season needs to ensure customer needs are met.​
  • ​Demonstrates Leadership by building talent (through mentorship and/or direct team management) with a focus on core Merchandising skills & competencies. Serves as example of words to live by on a daily basis, and directly influences  CFT.  Influences change, and can identify process opportunities and solutions for the total team.

Salary Range: $103,400 - $137,100 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
