About the Role

Are you an agile, thoughtful, and business-minded legal professional with a passion for retail and real estate law? If so, apply to join Gap Inc.’s Legal Department as a Sr. Paralegal Manager, where you will perform a critical role and report to a Senior Counsel. In this role, you will enable the company’s real estate portfolio and growth strategy, advance cross-functional engagement, and support each brand’s store leasing and asset management matters. As a key legal partner, you will help shape the success of our four iconic American brands: Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of retail leasing and commercial agreements for real estate initiatives, including, leases, lease amendments, and other related documents concerning rent audits, co-tenancy, construction, store maintenance, store operations, vendor services, and landlord/tenant disputes.
  • Analyze lease materials to assess legal and reputational risk to support cross-functional business partners and brand initiatives.
  • Perform legal due diligence and recommend practical, creative solutions that balance legal risk with business and/or operational impact.
  • Influence business decisions through smart, practical legal input and thoughtful risk management.
  • Build and maintain effective cross-functional partnerships.
  • Problem solve and manage high impact leasing and property management matters and escalate issues as needed.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of retail leasing and commercial contracts experience in-house with a corporate legal department or at a law firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate complex legal issues and influence others and drive good decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead others in an ambiguous environment to achieve high levels of performance and deliver consistent results.
  • Calm under pressure, with a growth mindset and high integrity.

Salary Range: $149,600 - $194,500 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
