About the role

Intermix is looking for a Merchandise Assistant to support INTERMIX’s merchandising strategy, open to buy process, business analysis, purchasing, allocation, flow of goods, team relationships and communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to self-motivate & drive initiative, while having a deep understanding of our brand and customer.

What you'll do

  • Provide support to the Assistant Buyer & Buyer in form of operational and administrative support

  • Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication with vendors, distribution center, and buying team

  • Manage timely entry and maintenance of purchase orders and assists with writing orders

  • Generate weekly reports and work with the Assistant Buyer to analyze business and trends

  • Understand the INTERMIX customer by reigion and suggest new ideas for vendors each season

  • Communicate to stores using the appropriate communication channels

Who you are

  • 1-2 years of experience in a corporate fashion merchandising team

  • Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook with an aptitude for learning new programs.

  • Demonstrate strong ability to be financially responsible and understand financial implications of mistakes.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities.

  • Must be proficient in retail math and understand how to calculate margins, sell through % and other retail math terms

  • Strong ability to identify and execute priorities with a sense of urgency, handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, with a proactive mindset

  • Strong communication and relationship/team skills.
