About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and economic inventory levels of maintenance spare parts, tools and material. Functions as the primary contact for vendors. Knowledge of reorder policies and competitive pricing practices. Perform data entry in the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Work within safety guidelines and under the guidance of the maintenance leadership.

What you'll do

  • Ensure general understanding of overall Maintenance functions.

  • Accurately maintain all aspects of the Inventory within CMMS system.

  • Generate purchase orders, follow-up on orders and communicate updates.

  • Maintain maintenance files and generate reports when needed.

  • Parts management (ordering, receiving, putting in storage, entering into CMMS).

  • Recommend changes for purchasing, based on inventory turns.

  • Maintain open communication channels with the maintenance team and DC leadership.

  • Department Safety – responsible for following all safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Who you are

  • Experience with CMMS systems.

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

  • Must possess technical aptitude.

  • Experience in maintenance work scheduling is an asset
