About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and an economically balanced Inventory level of maintenance spare parts, tools and material; Functioning as the primary contact for associated vendors; Knowledge of reorder policies and competitive pricing practices; Performs data entry in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management software) requiring knowledge of CMMS systems; Knowledge of PLC and basic computer programming .
  1. General understanding of maintenancefunctions, provide procedure training as needed, and maintain expected level ofcleanliness in all assigned work areas.

  2. Department Safety – responsible forfollowing all safety guidelines and procedures.

  3. Perform data entry, generate reportsas specified, and effectively utilize standard office software programs.

  4. Accurately maintain all aspects ofthe Inventory and CMMS systems, the MSDS (material safety data sheets) and theHazardous Waste process as it relates to maintenance.

  5. Maintain maintenance inventory at expectedlevels and in an orderly manner. Recommend purchasing quantity changes based oninventory turns to Maintenance Supervision. Maintain ordereorder andreceiving/shipping of spare parts or material guidelines and procedures. Processapproved purchase request, follow-up on orders and communicate updates. Followthe competitive 3 bid process as appropriate. Interface with vendors tonegotiate pricing when ordering Maintenance/Repair/Organizational supplies.

  6. Obtain and maintain required PIV(powered industrial vehicle) license to operate a Sit-down forklift within 90days of employment.

  7. On Target performance of all taskslisted and other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent

  2. 2 – 3 years of practical experienceas a Parts Clerk is preferred.

  3. Possess interpersonal skills in promotingteamwork and customer focus.

  4. Possess strong written & oralcommunication skills and time management skills.

  5. Advanced User of Microsoft Officesoftware package – proven skills through past experience, either formal orinformal training.

  6. Physical Requirements: Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and present professional demeanor and appearance at alltimes.
