Expansions in Phoenix, AZ, and Gallatin, TN, bring enhanced technologies, increased automation, and greater processing power as peak season approaches
With the holiday season rapidly approaching, the surge in consumer demand for convenient, digital options continues to rise. Gap Inc. is poised to meet customers’ needs with speed, flexibility, and efficiency with its overall investment of more than $100M in the launch of fulfillment center expansions in Phoenix, AZ and Gallatin, TN, completed just this month.
Gap Inc.’s journey of transformation in its fulfillment network predates pandemic days, as the culture has always been one of testing, learning and evolving. In recent years it’s brought on AI solutions and robotic technologies – both creating more processing power and more automation.

We’re able to serve customers no matter where they shop, and we can work more efficiently than before—all while creating even more job opportunities and reallocating our workforce in new ways to develop new skills.”
The expansions at Gap Inc.’s 1.4M square foot facility in Gallatin and its 400K square foot facility in Phoenix now enable online order fulfillment for more of its brands. Earlier this year, Gap Inc. also announced plans to open a new, 850,000 square foot Customer Experience Center in Longview, Texas to support Old Navy’s growing online business. Much like its other Customer Experience Centers, the new Longview facility will include best-in-class fulfillment technology and automation to meet customers’ ever-evolving needs. Gap Inc. also plans to expand capabilities at its Fresno, CA and Fishkill, NY Customer Experience Centers next year as well.
