NYC dweller Stephanie Trombino is no stranger to the cutting edge, ever evolving fashion scene in the city that never sleeps. In fact, she lives and breathes it every single day.
As a General Manager of Intermix, Stephanie has led teams at both the Meatpacking and most recently, Madison Avenue locations. In the three years under Stephanie’s leadership, the Meatpacking district location celebrated their two most profitable years in a row with a sustained improvement in growth.
Known for her exceptional management skills, Stephanie curates her team the same way she curates her fashion; with careful and thoughtful design that transcends seasons.
Here, Stephanie lets us in on her five favorite things about Intermix, New York City, and of course, fashion.
ONE: TEAM SPIRIT
“The team members at Intermix are hand-selected based on their individual strengths that contribute to the overall business. Each member contributes something amazing, unique and innovative that cultivates a sense of pride and ownership behind everything that they do. Every team member has their own entrepreneurial drive, whether it’s working on their own Instagram following, styling photo shoots, jewelry design, or party planning outside of Intermix. Everyone's point of view lends toward a collaborative and innovative environment that has made our stores so successful.”
TWO: NYC’S DENIM DESTINATION
“At the Intermix Meatpacking location, we have an Annex/Creative Retail Lab which has now become our "Denim Destination" for all things denim, sneakers and outerwear during the Fall season. This "shop in shop" has evolved over time, but during non-activation periods we solidified this space as our "Denim Destination" which has become a huge part of forming the identity of the Meatpacking store. We introduce new, up and coming denim designers like Agolde, Moussy, Grlfrnd, Re/Done as well offering our tried and true denim brands such as Frame, L'Agence and Jbrand. This element of discovery is a part of the Intermix DNA and is what gets our customers coming back into our stores!”
THREE: LATTE LOVE
“One of my favorite places to hangout and unwind in NYC is a coffee shop in the Meatpacking District called Kava. They have my drink order down, soy latte with a splash of agave, and it’s also the perfect spot to meet and interview new talent!”
FOUR: THE PERFECT OUTFIT
“My favorite go-to outfit is a good pair of Golden Goose sneakers, a great Blazer from Tibi, Smyth, or Veronica Beard, and a great accessory; a Wang bag, Balmain boots, etc. In my opinion, the best look is menswear inspired with a feminine twist!”
FIVE: I HEART NEW YORK
“The best thing about living in New York is that you never know what can happen and anything is possible! New York to me represents boundless opportunities, new discoveries and novel experiences. Truly, you never know what's around the corner!”
