Gap Inc.

Gap and Old Navy store windows are no stranger to color. But in June, the colors in the window beam with more Pride than usual.

For LGBT Pride month, the two retailers are re-introducing Pride T-shirts — complete with messages of love, equality and, of course, plenty of color.

Old Navy tees are available online and in select stores for men, women, kids and baby. One shirt is decorated with a rainbow of the word Pride, while another proclaims that Love is Love — a tribute to last year's cultural response to the U.S. Supreme Court's 2015 marriage-equality ruling.

Over at Gap, the brand's logo isn't displayed in its iconic white or navy blue, but rather as a cascade of watercolor rainbow colors. The tees will play a starring role in bright, vibrant window displays along the parade routes in select cities, including San Francisco and New York City.

Among those marching past those windows — in San Francisco, New York City, Chicago and Albuquerque — will be Gap employees, who are participating in the Pride parades in those select cities. The employees are part of GEAR (Gay Employees, Allies and Resources) — a group that recently announced the Gap Inc. partnership with the UN Foundation and the Free and Equal campaign.

The visibility of Pride in these stores is even more important, given the recent Orlando tragedy and its affect on the LGBT community. Gap Inc. has joined millions of Americans rallying in support of LGBT equality, and has donated $50,000 to The Center: a prominent, local LGBT organization offering counseling and resources to anyone affected by the tragedy. Employee donations of $25 or more made through BeWhatsPossible.com will also be matched.

As the Old Navy windows will soon say: Love is Love.
