About the Role
In this role, you will support the overall Finance function for a large, multi-brand retailer in a fast-paced, complex environment. Gap Inc.’s headquarters Finance team provides financial support to various business units and the Executive Leadership teams. You will be responsible for providing guidance, data, and analysis to other areas of Finance or the brands, with a specific focus on revenue reporting and analytics.
What You'll Do
- Financial Performance Management: Lead several key financial performance management activities for Gap Inc., including the annual budget/operating plan, longrange plan, and monthly forecast. These activities serve as the foundation for providing executive leaders and other relevant stakeholders with forward-looking financial projections, performance perspective, and foundations for optimal decision-making.
- Revenue Analysis: Conduct detailed revenue analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for growth. Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to provide insights into revenue performance across different brands and business units.
- Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely collection, validation, and reporting of revenue data. Develop and maintain robust data management processes to support revenue analytics and reporting.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive revenue reports and dashboards for executive leadership and other stakeholders. Communicate key findings and recommendations effectively to support strategic decision-making. • Collaboration: Work closely with other areas of Finance and the brands to provide guidance, data, and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of revenue analytics with overall financial strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue reporting and analytics. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in revenue analytics
Who You Are
- Understanding of financial statements including balance sheets and general ledgers, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and the financial close process
- High level of individual accountability and motivation
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
