You will translate complex operational data into practical insights and strategies that optimize efficiency and profitability. This includes the execution of labor analyses,
development of engineered labor standards, and scenario modeling and output analysis for Gap, Inc’s workforce management solution.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured project execution, has strong analytical skills, and is motivated by improving operational efficiency and profitability.

What You'll Do

Labor Standards & System Support

  • Support the build, updates, and annual maintenance of Engineered Labor Standards (ELS) across all brands.
  • Ensure LaborPro reflects accurate inputs for store openings, closings, and process updates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on labor standards updates and documentation.
  • Lead the annual maintenance period to update all labor model inputs.

Labor & Productivity Analysis

  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc labor analyses to identify inefficiencies and support labor forecasts.
  • Assist in scenario modeling (“what if” analyses) to assess labor impacts of process or technology changes.
  • Consolidate and prepare LaborPro outputs for workforce planning, budgeting, and UKG integration.

Operational Productivity Testing

  • Coordinate and support execution of field productivity pilots and testing initiatives (e.g., RFID, POS, beauty labor models, markdown placement).
  • Translate designed store processes into data-driven time measurements.
  • Document and track process improvements for future implementation.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Support

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and communications for assigned labor engineering projects.
  • Provide regular project updates and insights to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Support knowledge sharing within the Community of Practice and contribute to Stage Gate deliverables.

Who You Are

  • Background in industrial engineering, workforce management, or operations analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large data sets, models, and operational metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical findings into practical recommendations.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools, LaborPro or other Engineered Labor Standards software.
  • Experience with workforce management systems (UKG, Kronos, etc.) a plus.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, critical thinking and business curiosity.
  • Flexible to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business; with the ability to travel overnight as required.
