About the Role

The Visual Strategy Manager will support both the Creative and Visual Merchandising departments from a strategic perspective. They will own and support budget management of the Creative and Visual Merchandising teams, support vendor payments, manage key fleet information, ensure achievement of department goals and perform business analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Support budget management for the Creative and Visual Merchandising teams
    • Create initial budgets for projects by category to enable accurate tracking
    • Track overall spending by project relative to budget
    • Ensure team members are aware of and staying within budget constraints
    • Track spending on Pcards monthly & communicate out
    • Reconcile monthly Pcard & PO reporting
    • Work with Senior Manager to identify capitalizable expenses
  • Support vendor payment
    • Work with vendors to establish appropriate payment methodologies, and ensure clear vendor understanding of the process
    • Work with vendors and Sourcing to get vendors set up in our system
    • Execute payments for project work in partnership with Creative and Visual Merchandising team members
  • Manage key fleet information
    • Own and manage store lists and store information to help inform decision-making across teams
    • Create and implement mechanisms to support updating of fleet information
    • Respond to ad hoc requests from the team regarding fleet characteristics, to drive their decision-making
  • Help ensure achievement of departmental goals
    • Help plan out team workload by creating timelines, establishing major project milestones, and tracking progress relative to milestones
    • Drive decision-making as needed to ensure progress toward milestones
    • Facilitate project status/update meetings across the department
    • Create team-wide calendars to give a view to overall workload and identify potential issues in advance
    • Hindsight activities to inform planning for future initiatives
  • Special projects
    • Work on special projects as needed and leverage department knowledge to support the Creative and Visual Merchandising teams.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of retail and visual experience
  • Extremely strong organization, communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills - experience distilling relevant insights from large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, be proactive and execute against tight timelines
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and able to collaborate with all levels of management
  • Ability to travel with creative and visual teams
  •  Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite, and MAC OS

Salary Range: $114,900 - $152,200 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
