About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic individual to join the Old Navy Company Planning team as Manager, Strategic Planning. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and managing multi-year strategic plans across sales, margin, inventory, consumer levers & discounting that drive business growth across key financial and operational metrics. You will focus on long-range forecasting, act as a critical thought partner and ensure cross-functional coordination to meet or exceed financial goals. The ideal candidate is a strong critical thinking, has extremely high attention to detail and accuracy and is self-driven.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive 4-year business plans across key metrics including sales, margin, inventory, levers & discounting across North America Digital and Stores channels.
  • Model business impacts tied to initiatives such as new product categories, distribution methods or technology improvements.
  • Integrate external perspectives such as competitive analysis, market trends and industry benchmarks into planning and forecasting to ensure strategies are informed, adaptive and opportunity driven. 
  • Own and manage monthly tops-down forecast ranges using lever – driven framework, providing insights and scenario planning support for leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate pre-season and in-season media driven demand goals, ensuring alignment with business goals and ROI expectations.
  • Coordinate consumer forecast scenarios that help triangulate business targets and identify risk / ops in partnership with Advanced Analytics team.
  • Drive and support various strategic projects, including ad hoc analysis, cross-functional initiatives, and business improvement efforts.
  • Partner closely with Strategy, Marketing, Merch & Merch Planning, Advanced Analytics and Business Unit Company Planning teams

Who You Are

  • 5+ years in Finance and/or Planning & Inventory Management. Demonstrated results in delivering Sales and Margin goals, and inventory productivity improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a large amount of detail without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, track record of improving business results and processes through new ideas.
  • Self-motivated: empowered to make quick, calculated decisions, follow through with responsibilities and be fully accountable for results.
  • Capability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and drive for solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and navigate through complexity.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and influencing stakeholders across a variety of cross functional teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint; familiarity with Essbase, Omniture, PowerBI, NOVA/MicroStrategy, and Anaplan a plus.

Salary Range: $120,400 - $159,500 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
