About the role

The Director of Omni Sales & Operations Planning will play a crucial role in driving the omni growth of one of our Gap Inc. Brands (Old Navy, Gap/Gap Outlet, Banana Republic/BR Factory Stores, Athleta) around the world. We partner with our Supply Chain (Transportation, DC/Store Operations) and Brand teams (Inventory Management, e-Com, Finance) in upfront strategic Omni commercial planning discussions to de-risk the supply chain network and help Brands service the customer regardless of channel she wants to shop. This role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in strategy and business operations, requiring a mix of analysis, logistics, IM, change management, cross-functional leadership and project management. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership, partnership, operational and analytical skills who is passionate about working cross-functionally to solve some of Gap Inc’s most interesting and challenging problems.

The Director is a key partner to supply chain operations, brand operations and brand partners in the development and execution of existing and new operational analysis, processes, tools, and strategies to drive business priorities leveraging our global supply chain network.

What you'll do

  • Lead and drive Brand and GSC engagement as liason between Brand and GSC partners.

  • Lead and manage for a Global Brand (all markets/channels) cross-functional team strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence within the end to end Supply Chain

  • Exhibit deep understanding of Brand strategies and opportunities within the Supply Chain network

  • Lead strategic initiatives related to enterprise/Brand omni processes, capacity and network management, cost/service optimization and improve delivery against Brand commercial plans

  • Provide project management support to Brand Operations for key Brand network or Brand led initiatives

  • Partner with Brand Operations teams to ensure best in class process, tools and analyses are leveraged consistently within Brand

  • Lead and drive retail inventory movement plans for Brand to mitigate risk to Brand commercial plans

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with senior Brand and Supply Chain leaders to deliver results

  • Develop best in class talent with operations expertise and understanding of core Supply Chain and Inventory functions

Who you are

  • 10-15 years of total experience, including 3+ years in management consulting/strategy, supply chain and/or retail operations (specifically inventory management)

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus

  • Demonstrated ability of managing operational details and execution, while also understanding big picture

  • Deep experience with quantitative analysis, creative problem solving, and complex cross-functional project management

  • Experience with change mangagement and leading transition and implementation work

  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments, bring structure, prioritize and drive to results

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships and influence cross-functional leaders

  • Proficient at senior management communication and engagement

  • Strong leadership, coaching and development skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Comfort with retail technology systems (Essbase, IMS, WMS, etc.) and/or aptitude to learn
