This back-to-school season, Old Navy customers and employees came together to make a meaningful impact for young people across North America. During the donation drive held July 9-13, Old Navy raised $1.35 million for Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.

Throughout the campaign, customers were invited to donate $5 at checkout in exchange for $5 off a purchase of $35 or more. The response demonstrates the power of community and Old Navy's long-standing commitment to creating opportunities for youth.

“This milestone helps support our commitment to creating opportunities for young people through our partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs,” said Steve Peters, Head of Stores at Old Navy. “It's a powerful reminder that we do much more than sell clothes. Together with our customers, we can make a lasting difference in the communities we serve.”

Old Navy is committed to bridging the opportunity gap by helping develop the confidence skills that open doors to all of life's opportunities. The funds raised will help support youth development programs while advancing Old Navy's more than 30-year partnership with BGCA and its signature workforce readiness program, This Way ONward. Through these efforts, Club teens gain access to mentorship, career-building experiences, skills training, and pathways to employment that get them ready for what’s next.

The campaign also inspired employees across North America to deepen their relationships with local Boys & Girls Clubs. In Orlando, Old Navy’s store teams helped ensure that local students have the tools they need to be ready for school this year, and donated backpacks full of school supplies to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

“Experiences like this reinforce that our impact extends far beyond our stores, encouraging kids to dream big, believe in themselves, and understand that every career journey starts with a single step,” shared Marineida Hernandez, District Manager, Old Navy Orlando. “We are not only serving customers but also investing in the communities where we live and work.”

In addition to the drive, Old Navy hosted 20 members of the local Boys & Girls Club on July 22 at its headquarters, in the brand’s hometown of San Francisco, for a day of immersive career-building experiences. Employees also donated 350 custom notebooks featuring handwritten messages of encouragement to help students start the school year feeling supported and inspired.

“For more than 30 years, Old Navy has been an incredible partner to Club kids across North America,” said Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “This year's donation drive is another powerful example of what's possible when customers, employees, and communities come together to invest in young people and their futures.”
