As we continue to strive to meet our 1 million women and girls' through our P.A.C.E. Program, we are excited to celebrate another milestone in 2021. The Ministry of Education, Youth & Sport in Cambodia recently passed an official order to publish and incorporate the Gap Inc. P.A.C.E. Adolescent Girls Curriculum (for girls between ages 11-13 years and 14-17 years) for all the primary and secondary schools in Cambodia.
This is great momentum for our team since having a presence in Cambodia starting in 2019. We began programs with Kampuchea Action for Primary Education (KAPE) and the Ministry of Education in Cambodia, and with CARE International in Indonesia, to reach more than 12,547 through our adolescent girls P.A.C.E. curriculum.
This is a very proud moment for Gap Inc. and the people who work to support P.A.C.E. and the work led by our community program partner Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (KAPE) in Cambodia.
We’ll continue to partner with KAPE to support the Ministry of Education to ensure curriculums reach nearly 28,500 students in 50 schools in the coming year and scale to reach approximately 150 schools throughout the country.
