To wrap up Leader Appreciation Month with a bang, we're giving props to TWO amazing store leaders who have #greatboss written all over them – from the outstanding results they deliver to the talent they've built in their stores. Meet Sam Arnetta, GM of Springfield Commons and Joe DeBlois, GM of Maine Mall.
Check out how these GMs are focused on leading with authenticity, heart + fun.
WHAT LED YOU TO OLD NAVY:
SAM - I started at Old Navy in high school as a seasonal associate. I enjoyed the freedom to learn and drive results through service + hard work.
JOE - The fun family atmosphere that Old Navy delivers to every customer.
WHAT SETS OLD NAVY APART: SAM - I have always seen Old Navy as a safe place where you can express yourself and follow your passion.
YOUR GOAL FOR THE REST OF 2019: JOE - To drive results and finish the year strong.
BEST PART ABOUT YOUR TEAM: SAM - My team is the reason I love my job. They not only support me, but also each other.
WHAT MAKES A #GREATBOSS:
JOE - It's important to set clear expectations, coach and give feedback and recognize the efforts of your team.
SAM - You have to foster trust + support and, most importantly, listen and remove obstacles.
FAVORITE PIECE OF ADVICE:
SAM - One simple word: PLAN! It might change, but it's easier to adapt if you are proactive.
JOE - Don't sweat the small stuff and be yourself.
WHAT MAKES YOU #OLDNAVYPROUD:
JOE - Old Navy puts the focus on people – both our employees and customers.
SAM - I love that we work towards a common goal as a team (within our stores, district and region) and that we have fun doing it!
