Gap Inc.

January 31, 2013

Building on its “Give Twice” campaign that kicked off in December, Gap is helping shed light on Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. (Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement) program by encouraging others to share this video.

It starts with a simple fact:  There is no better investment you can make in the world than an investment in the tools and support someone needs to realize their dreams.

And for us at Gap, that is especially true.  That’s why our company started the P.A.C.E. program in 2007—providing life and professional skills that help women at work and at home. After all, most of our customers are women, as are our employees. When women move forward in their education, careers and lives, their families and communities grow with them.   And that’s why we want to share the inspiring stories of P.A.C.E. graduates today.  Once you get to know these women—their dedication, their caring, their pride—we hope you will want to share their stories, too.

We made a small film called “My Sister Sujatha,” which tells the story of one of the P.A.C.E graduates through the words of her sister. When I watch it, I am reminded that we at Gap have received much more than we have given and there is no better expression of what we mean by “Be Bright.”  Believing in people is what our brand is all about: recognizing the value of the individual and that we all share a common hope and desire for a brighter future for ourselves, our families and for the world.

Please watch and share “My Sister Sujatha.” It’s people that really matter.
