About the Role
The Associate Program Manager, Background Screening, supports the planning, execution, and oversight of the company’s background screening program to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across the organization. This role partners with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to maintain high standards in candidate and employee screening processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of background screening programs, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Central point of contact for internal and external business partners and serves as subject matter expert for background and drug screening processes. Provide training and guidance to internal business partners on background screening best practices.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve discrepancies, escalations and service level issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all screening and adjudication decisions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance candidate experience by supporting the implementation of new tools, technologies and process enhancements.
- Works with highly sensitive and confidential information and communicates within strict guidelines. Takes required security precautions to protect personal and confidential company data.
Who You Are
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in program coordination, HR operations or compliance-related roles.
- Familiarity with background screening processes and applicable laws preferred.
- Experience in retail, logistics, or large-scale hiring environments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with ATS or screening platforms a plus.

Salary Range: $68,900 - $87,900 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
