About the Role
Platform Photo Studio | Gap Inc.
The On-Figure Stylist is responsible for executing elevated, brand-right styling for on-figure photography across Gap Inc. brands including Gap, Gap Factory, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory, and Athleta. This role partners closely with Art Directors, Photographers, Styling leadership, and cross-functional studio teams to bring brand vision and seasonal storytelling to life through compelling, marketing-level imagery.
The ideal candidate is an experienced fashion storyteller with elevated taste, strong trend awareness, and a deep understanding of styling for ecommerce, marketing, and digital campaigns. They are highly motivated, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment. This role requires a stylist who can execute at a high creative level while helping elevate the overall product presentation, customer experience, and visual identity of the brand.
This individual should have a strong understanding of brand DNA and know how to translate creative direction into aspirational, commercially relevant outfitting that resonates with the customer. They lead by example on set, bring fresh ideas to the table, and consistently deliver best-in-class styling execution.
What You'll Do
- Style elevated on-figure looks for ecommerce photography across Gap Inc. brands
- Execute brand vision and seasonal storytelling through thoughtful, aspirational outfitting
- Lead styling execution on set while partnering closely with Art Directors, Photographers, Hair & Makeup, and Production teams
- Style high volumes of product while maintaining strong creative standards, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Pull swipe, inspiration, and visual references to support outfitting direction and creative alignment
- Bring fresh styling ideas, trend awareness, and elevated fashion perspective to the studio environment
- Support daily shot goals and production needs while maintaining a best-in-class creative standard
- Mentor Assistant Stylists and Junior Stylists through collaboration, feedback, and on-set leadership
- Attend creative reviews, fittings, walkthroughs, and seasonal product meetings as needed
- Maintain organization of styling racks, accessories, footwear, and style-out areas throughout production
- Partner cross-functionally with Styling, Photography, Production, Retouching, Sample Coordination, and Brand teams
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and all-hands-on-deck attitude within a fast-paced studio environment
- Support studio initiatives, evolving workflows, and special projects as assigned
Who You Are
- 8+ years of styling experience required, preferably within fashion retail, ecommerce, or photo studio environments at a comparable brand
- Marketing, editorial, and/or campaign styling experience strongly preferred
- Portfolio website required demonstrating strong fashion styling, storytelling, and on-set execution
- Experience working with credible, elevated fashion or lifestyle brands similar to Gap Inc. preferred
- Elevated taste level with a strong eye for proportion, silhouette, and styling across varying body types and model profiles
- Strong knowledge of industry talent and models, with the ability to identify which talent, product, and styling combinations best support brand vision and customer relevance
- Proven ability to execute high volumes of work while maintaining creative quality and consistency
- Experience leading and working within fast-paced on-set studio environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to problem solve, prioritize, and adapt quickly
- Comfortable mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally
- Passion for fashion, storytelling, and producing best-in-class imagery

Salary Range: $93,700 - $121,800 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
