About the Role

Gap Inc.’s B2B & International Commerce division has expanded our iconic brands—Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, and Banana Republic—into over 70 countries across Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. We are now seeking a talented and experienced Senior Designer to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping regionally relevant product assortments that reflect global brand direction while meeting the unique needs of diverse international markets.

What You'll Do

  • Set the seasonal design strategy for assigned product categories across International Markets.
  • Translate global brand direction into regionally relevant assortments for The International Consumer that reflect customer insights, market trends, and commercial goals.
  • Develop concepts, sketches, color palettes, and print /graphic direction, ensuring alignment with brand identity and customer expectations.
  • Partner with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Production, and Technical Design to ensure design intent is executed with quality, fit, and margin targets in mind.
  • Influence design and quality aesthetic for partners who locally source product in International Markets.
  • Integrate with Global Design Teams to gather and dispenses information regarding brand direction and strategy that is relevant in the creation of locally relevant product that aligns with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Raw Materials and R&D teams to drive innovation and sustainability in fabric and trim selection.
  • Execute to the design calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all key milestones including strategic kick-off, creative kick-off, digital line review, global adoption, and investment reviews. Integrating International local sourcing calendar needs into existing brand calendar.
  • Conduct global market research to identify emerging trends, silhouettes, and techniques.
  • Ensure all designs are customer-centric, brand-right, and commercially viable for diverse international markets

Who You Are

  • College degree in fashion design or a related field.
  • Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ability to hand sketch.
  • Strong design and conceptual skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes.
  • Excellent leadership/management skills.
  • Ability to set overall creative tone and lead creative design process.
  • Excellent sense of style and color.
  • Proven excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of merchandising as it relates to sales and store environment.
  • Ability to deal with managerial issues.
  • 10+ years design experience

Salary Range: $106,700 - $141,300 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
