About the Role

As Principal Enterprise Solution Architect – Stores, you will own the architectural vision, solution design, and execution strategy across our enterprise retail store domain. You will drive transformation of store technologies by defining a modern, scalable architecture that enhances the frontline associate and customer experience, boosts operational efficiency, and enables continuous innovation across core store capabilities.

Partnering with business and technology leaders, you will lead modernization of legacy platforms and introduce cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven architectures to support the future of omnichannel retail. You’ll play a key role in defining the technology roadmap, aligning it with business strategy, and guiding delivery teams to realize strategic goals.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a strategic thought leader, presenting and aligning architectural vision with senior business and technology stakeholders to support long-term transformation initiatives
  • Evaluate and recommend best-fit technologies and solutions for critical retail use cases, like personalization, real-time store analytics and dashboards and IoT applications in stores
  • Collaborate across teams to translate retail business strategy into executable technology roadmaps, enterprise solution blueprints, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the design and evolution of the future-state architecture for retail store applications and platforms, supporting new business capabilities and continuous innovation.
  • Provide architectural oversight on major initiatives by driving consistency in Integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, messaging/event-driven design) and data flows (ETL/ELT, streaming, real-time)
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, PMO, and business leadership to define the architecture transition roadmap, identify key dependencies, and proactively address risks and constraints.
  • Define and maintain reusable architectural assets, like domain models, blue prints, roadmaps and patterns
  • Influence enterprise governance processes, promoting architectural alignment across teams and ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Support vendor evaluations, lead technical due diligence, and contribute to business case development for procurement of critical retail systems

Who You Are

  • A seasoned enterprise or solution architect with 10+ years of experience in stores and transformation programs
  • Deep expertise in supporting the front, back and workforce management of the retail stores systems
  • Experience migrating or replacing homegrown stores systems
  • Proven ability to connect enterprise initiatives with stores system and process impacts
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, and influencer across business and technology teams
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture, APIs, and integration with reporting and planning ecosystems
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to present and align architectural vision at senior levels
