About the Role

The Senior Manager of Photography Operations is a studio-based leader on the Old Navy Online Operations team (ONOL). This role combines photography pipeline expertise and business acumen to drive best-in-class execution within the studio and ensure critical photography outputs are delivered in alignment with company strategies. The Sr. Manager connects cross-functional teams (Creative, Online Experience, Catalog Operations) and manages a high-volume product photography pipeline. They are responsible for seamless execution in a fastpaced, high-visibility environment. This role also functions as a key business partner to the Sr. Director and Studio Leadership in shaping and executing both near- and long-term photo operations strategies. The Sr. Manager translates enterprise business priorities into tactical execution plans that directly support Online, Marketing, and Global Merchandising objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Oversees end-to-end product photography pipeline, owning pre-season sample ordering and in-season sample management within the studio; ensures products are accurately prioritized, milestones are met, and photography is executed in alignment with established style guidelines.
  • Sets direction for operational execution of the product photography pipeline, continuously evolving workflows to drive efficiency, scalability, and output quality.
  • Helps build the annual product photography budget for on-figure and laydown photography using input from various teams (Online Experience, Merchandising, and Studio leadership).
  • Develops and maintains a seasonal style guide outlining the ONOL product photography strategy.
  • Works cross-functionally with studio leadership teams and Digital leadership teams to identify and troubleshoot pipeline interruptions and inefficiencies.
  • Implements and operationalizes best-in-class tools and reporting systems for product photography and sample tracking.
  • Helps define and manage performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensures photo operations execution directly supports brand growth initiatives, such as new capsule launches, designer collaborations, and omni-channel storytelling moments.

Who You Are

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of ecommerce, retail, marketing, and visual production operations.
  • Strong familiarity with tools such as Creative Force, Airtable, FileMaker Pro, and production tracking platforms.
  • Strong planning, communication, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, coaching, and talent development.
  • Ability to connect operational execution with business strategy, bridging creative intent and commercial priorities to deliver measurable impact across online and marketing channels.

Minimum Experience:

  • 6+ years in online project management, production, or operations
  • 4+ years in eCommerce environments, ideally with omnichannel retail experience
  • 3+ years managing and developing teams

Salary Range: $149,900 - $194,900 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
