About the role

We're hiring a Manager, Multimedia Event Production to provide technical leadership and oversee the technology, operations, and delivery of live and recorded content — including corporate events, product launches, broadcasts, and executive engagement. This role is responsible for driving production excellence, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment, establishing consistent production standards, and advancing technology alignment across locations. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on technical expertise, demonstrates the ability to lead and influence others, and actively supports the development of team capabilities through coaching, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. The Manager will partner with business leaders, creative teams, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, reliable, and high-quality multimedia solutions while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to producers, video engineers, editors, and production partners, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, accountability, and a high-performing team environment. Coordinate and oversee freelance and union crew engagement for regional productions.
  • Own and coordinate regional production budgets, AV vendor relationships and contracts, and equipment procurement and lifecycle planning in partnership with multimedia leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Build scalable production systems, including SOPs, templates, and technical specifications, to sustain quality as event volume grows.
  • Partner with multimedia leadership and regional counterparts to develop and implement standardized technology architecture, production infrastructure, and operational processes across corporate locations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by promoting shared best practices, strengthening cross-location collaboration, mentoring others, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and consistent service excellence.
  • Lead production planning and governance, including project milestones, critical dependencies, resource and crew requirements, stakeholder approvals, rehearsals, run-of-show documentation, and production closeout activities.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of multimedia productions from concept through completion, ensuring business objectives are translated into clearly defined production requirements, technical deliverables, resource plans, budgets, and execution timelines.
  • Develop and present business cases for AV and multimedia technology investments, including equipment upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new production capabilities. Evaluate costs, benefits, risks, and expected return on investment to support informed business decisions.
  • Measure and communicate the business value of multimedia services and investments through operational efficiencies, cost optimization, technology utilization, service quality, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Technical & Broadcast

  • Oversee the planning, technical execution, and delivery of multi-camera live productions, ensuring consistent standards for camera operations, switching, audio, lighting, and signal flow.
  • Own and oversee livestream and virtual production infrastructure — including encoders, switchers (vMix, TriCaster, Blackmagic ATEM), Zoom, streaming platforms, and redundancy/failover planning.
  • Establish and maintain standardized technical configurations and production practices across locations to ensure reliable, consistent live and recorded event experiences.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and production expertise when needed, including live event operations, troubleshooting, and complex productions, while maintaining accountability for production excellence, operational effectiveness, and successful delivery.
  • Guide production professionals and partners in proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving live production issues, including signal loss, audio drift, and synchronization errors, with minimal event disruption.
  • Lead and coordinate the successful execution of in-person, broadcast, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring contributors are prepared for the distinct technical requirements, operational complexities, and audience experiences of each format.
  • Own broadcast-quality standards for color, audio levels, closed captioning, and multi-platform delivery specifications.
  • Oversee regional venue requirements, including IATSE, house AV coordination, and load-in/load-out logistics.

Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with creative directors, designers, business leaders, and brand teams from concept through final delivery, translating creative goals into executable production plans.
  • Advise constructively on technical feasibility, budget, and timelines, offering alternatives that preserve creative intent.
  • Oversee production quality and content delivery across live events, recordings, and post-production, ensuring consistent brand presentation, adherence to corporate style guidelines, and successful delivery of approved content across enterprise platforms.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, Corporate Communications, Marketing, PR, brand teams, and other business stakeholders to align production strategies, presentation content, and event experiences with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Participate in creative reviews as a strategic technical partner who helps shape achievable production concepts.
  • Oversee post-production quality, including editing, motion graphics, color, and sound design, to ensure alignment with creative direction and broadcast standards.
  • Lead post-event reviews and evaluations with business stakeholders, brand partners, and production teams to assess quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and event effectiveness; turn feedback and lessons learned into measurable improvements.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience in multimedia, broadcast, or live event production, including demonstrated technical expertise and at least 2 years of experience leading production initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, or providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of multi-camera production, audio mixing, lighting, video switching, livestreaming, and enterprise collaboration platforms, including Zoom.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical production teams, evaluate production quality, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and provide hands-on support when business needs require it.
  • Experience in a large, global corporate environment, with the ability to shape and advance enterprise AV and multimedia production capabilities across multiple locations.
  • Working knowledge of Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinars, and virtual/hybrid event production, including technical requirements, integrations, and enterprise support expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level communications, corporate events, and high-visibility productions within a complex enterprise environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities, engage senior stakeholders, and deliver consistently high-quality experiences.
  • Experience coordinating complex productions with venue teams, union crews, or broadcast studio environments.
  • Proven partnership with business, creative, and brand stakeholders, including the ability to translate requirements into successful productions.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contracts.
  • Working knowledge of professional production and post-production tools, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, vMix, TriCaster, Blackmagic ATEM, and streaming platforms such as ON24, ScaleFT, YouTube Live, and Vimeo.
  • Demonstrated track record leading successful corporate multimedia productions, technical operations, and teams.
  • Experience developing business cases, evaluating technology investments, and demonstrating financial and operational value through cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments.

Preferred

  • IATSE or venue union relations experience.
  • Broadcast engineering background (RF, satellite, or studio control room experience).
  • Experience with immersive or interactive formats (AR overlays, projection mapping, LED walls).
