About the role
The position of Associate Director, Creative / BRFS will support the Senior Director, Creative along with other business leaders, and will drive development of all of the creative materials produced for Banana Republic Factory for use both internally and externally. As the guardian of the brand aesthetic and integration across vehicles, the Associate Director will be focused on leadership of the BRFS creative department and delivery of materials for use across all channels, including in-store /circulars /promotions /p.r./ direct/and special projects. This role is highly cross-functional and requires a bias for action balanced with a strategic thinker and astute people leader.
What you'll do
Responsible for all seasonal BRFS creative development. Direct and oversee all concepting and execution of all BRFS creative materials in marketing channels including circular, in-store, p.r., promotions, and direct.
Champion, define, and evolve the brand voice and identity both in relation to the main Banana Republic brand as well as a standalone expression of the BR world.
Create strong experiences and creative strategies to drive customer engagement and support company goals.
Maintain a high level of excellence across all customer touchpoints, ensuring all creative output is on-brief, on-time, and on-brand.
Partner with cross-functional leads of store visual/design, studio, production, and product development teams to deliver marketing programs and creative assets which support company goals.
Oversee (with functional design heads) the monthly photo-shoots for in-store and circular (both on figure and flat photography). Provide direction for studio teams in execution of product photography.
Manage and develop a team of diverse creative talents, mentor and provide leadership to the team to exceed expectations.
Who you are
Minimum 8 years senior level experience as a graphic designer or art director in a fashion, retail and/or advertising environment. At least 4 years experience managing a team. Retail and agency experience is preferred.
Extensive experience in development of 360° campaigns, including digital, print, and in-store expressions.
A strong bias for action and ability to think on your feet, balanced with an ability to analyze, prioritize, and simplify the work at hand.
A customer-first approach and ability to generate disruptive, original concepts, while maintaining an expert knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices.
Extensive experience in photo shoot direction, production, and post-production considerations, an expert knowledge and strong network of industry vendors and service providers.
Deep knowledge of typography, design, printing processes and print production.
Strong attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Highly organized and strong time management and prioritization skills.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint), as well as competence in MS Office apps (Word, Excel). Skill in video, motion graphics, and familiarity with project management systems are a plus.
BA Graphic Design or relevant related field.
