Code of Business Conduct
Our Code of Business Conduct (COBC) serves as our ethical compass for the commitment we make to our stakeholders, customers and one another to do what’s right. It applies to our directors, employees, customers and business partners, including independent contractors, vendors and suppliers. Our Anti-Corruption Policy is incorporated by reference into our Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and prohibits bribery by an employee or agent of Gap Inc. The policy combines elements from our COBC with anti-bribery requirements under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other similar laws around the world.
Code of Vendor Conduct
Our Code of Vendor Conduct (COVC) sets forth the basic requirements that all factories must meet in order to do business with Gap Inc. This code is based on internationally accepted labor standards, including the International Labour Organization (ILO)’s core conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Conflict Minerals Policy
Gap Inc. is committed to ensuring full compliance with section 1502 of the United States Dodd Frank Act relating to trade in conflict minerals.
Human Rights Policy
Gap Inc. is committed to respecting internationally recognized human rights and avoiding involvement in human rights abuses. We support the principles contained within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the U.N. Global Compact; the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises; and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (“ILO Core Conventions”).
PFC Policy
Gap Inc. is committed to eliminate all PFC-based DWR, stain repellent, and other finishes from our supply chain.
Wood-Derived Fabric Policy
Gap Inc. is deeply committed to the ethical sourcing of our products and the use of sustainable raw materials. Gap Inc. is against the use of ancient and endangered, high conservation and high carbon-value forest areas to make cellulose-based textiles, including but not limited to rayon, viscose, lyocell, and modal.
