Gap Inc. (NYSE:GAP) today announced the appointment of Mame Annan-Brown as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer reporting to Gap Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer, Richard Dickson, effective June 30. In this newly created role, Annan-Brown will be instrumental in advancing the Gap Inc. narrative and reinforcing the company’s purpose-driven mission through action.

Annan-Brown brings 25 years of communications and public affairs leadership across the apparel industry, global finance, international development and public policy. She has elevated the reputation and voice of global institutions, helping define their missions and amplify their impact, including most recently as Executive Vice President of Global Communications & Public Affairs at Kontoor Brands and President of the Kontoor Brands Foundation. Previously, she was Global Head of External Relations at International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) and held senior roles at J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank.
As a member of the executive leadership team, Annan-Brown will oversee Communications, the Gap Foundation, and global employee engagement and volunteerism programs—while driving Gap Inc.’s narrative across Public Affairs, Investor Relations and ESG. Her role will also include leading the company’s civic engagements in its home city of San Francisco.
