About the Role

In this role, you will work with values and purpose driven teams who's focus in helping shape a better planet. Your team leads with Do the Right Thing by innovating, defining, embedding, and leading the strategic initiatives of our Supplier, Product, and Environmental Sustainability teams as well as building our ESG analytics and reporting team. You will operationalize the work by embedding it further into Gap Inc. culture and every functional area through partnership with our Supply Chain and the Global Brand teams.

What You'll Do

  • This role will be primarily focused on supporting Gap Inc. achieve our goal to reduce Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional team members and external consultants/systems to prepare the annual inventory for supply chain emissions
  • Lead and conduct analysis on supply chain emissions data to identify areas of action and drive updates to existing decarbonization roadmap
  • Work with Gap Inc.’s sourcing team members to understand the impact of our supply chain strategy on our emissions footprint and influence sourcing decisions towards achieving our goals.
  • Own and drive relationship with external stakeholders to manage data collection, emissions calculation methodology and visualization.
  • Build relationships with Gap Inc. suppliers and their sustainability teams to support them on decarbonization and data collection
  • Develop materials to drive internal engagement and build successful relationships with Gap Inc. sourcing, vendor compliance teams, as well as Gap Inc. suppliers.
  • Identify and build new climate programming that addresses gaps in our existing strategy in collaboration with the Environmental Capability Building team and our sourcing teams.
  • Keep abreast of emerging sustainability frameworks, metrics, and industry standards, such as GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP, TCFD, and CSRD and ensure that our carbon and energy reporting aligns with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Gap Inc. at various industry forums on relevant topics.

Who You Are

  • The ideal candidate will have a love of data/data analysis, experience analyzing and synthesizing information, and will have strong program management and communication skills
  • Experience with energy assessments, sustainability data analysis, environmental impact assessments, and greenhouse gas analysis tools
  • 4-6+ years of experience in a sustainability-focused role, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry and have familiarity with apparel sustainability stakeholders like Cascale, Aii, and Worldly and familiarity with Higg Index FEM
  • Proficiency with business intelligence platforms and analytics tools like PowerBi, Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain mitigation strategies, apparel and textile manufacturing, climate finance and decarbonizing technologies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and solutions-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex sustainability concepts to various stakeholders
  • This is a full-time in-person role based in Delhi, India
