About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, we’re looking for a visionary leader to spearhead our Corporate Communications strategy and operations. This isn’t just about managing communications — it’s about architecting a digital ecosystem that drives influence, builds trust, and positions Gap Inc. as a cultural and employer brand leader. You’ll establish a Digital Strategy Center of Excellence, realign our planning and operations for maximum impact, and lead a strategic pivot toward proactive, forward-looking communications powered by technology and creativity.
What You'll Do
Digital Strategy & Innovation
• Establish a centralized Digital Strategy Center of Excellence to own all social
media channels, governance, and performance analytics.
• Drive a digital-first, social-first strategy that anticipates trends, leverages
emerging platforms, and amplifies brand storytelling.
• Build scalable systems, tools, and workflows that enable seamless content
creation, campaign execution, and measurement.
Strategic Planning & Operations
• Centralize communications planning and operations to create a future-focused,
proactive function rooted in strategic foresight.
• Develop governance models, editorial calendars, communications
campaigns/media/project dashboards to ensure clarity, consistency, and
accountability across the organization—creating transparency and visibility for
executive leadership and across the enterprise.
• Oversee budgeting, measurement, and process optimization to maximize
efficiency and impact.
Employer Brand Leadership
• Partner with TA to evolve Gap Inc.’s Employer Brand strategy, partnering with
Talent Acquisition, Inclusion & Belonging, and Purpose teams to position us as
top employer.
• Partner with TA to ensure compelling narratives showcase our culture, values,
and commitment to innovation.
Cross-Functional & External Partnerships
• Collaborate with global teams, agency partners, and vendors to deliver integrated
campaigns that elevate our brand and business priorities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, ensuring alignment and
influence across all communications initiatives.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies, platforms, and cultural trends to keep Gap
Inc. at the forefront of digital engagement.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and agility, driving new ideas that push
boundaries and create measurable impact.
Who You Are
• 12+ years in communications strategy, digital marketing, or employer branding
with proven success in complex organizations.
• A strategic thinker and operational leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes
environments.
• Deep expertise in digital platforms, analytics, and content workflows.
• A creative storyteller with a passion for technology-driven engagement.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing
teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence at all
levels.

Salary Range: $203,500 - $274,700 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
