About the Role
As we continue to evolve our Gap Factory outlet business, we’re focused on building strong store teams, supporting talent growth, and fostering an engaging, people-first culture across our fleet. The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting field teams and store leaders by delivering core HR programs and helping to execute people initiatives that contribute to an engaged workforce and strong business performance.
In this role, you will partner closely with HR Business Partners, district leaders, and other key stakeholders to support day-to-day HR operations, provide guidance on employee matters, and help implement talent and organizational initiatives. You will also collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence - including Talent Management, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards - to ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR programs.
This role contributes to a positive employee experience and supports the development and retention of retail
talent across multiple markets.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day HR support to Gap Factory outlet field teams, district managers, and store leaders, offering guidance on policies, processes, and employee-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to help implement workforce plans and organizational initiatives.
- Execute HR programs and processes, including performance management, talent reviews, and engagement initiatives
- Coordinate change initiatives by supporting communication, training, and adoption across store teams.
- Leverage HR data and reports to identify trends and escalate potential risks or concerns to HR partners.
- Contribute to employee engagement efforts by supporting action planning based on feedback and continuous listening insights.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Learning teams to support hiring efforts and onboarding experiences.
- Implement retention strategies while monitoring turnover trends in a high-volume retail environment.
- Support resolution of employee issues in partnership with Employee Relations, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Align with HR centers of excellence to deliver programs in talent management, total rewards, and employee experience.
Who You Are
- Experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar role supporting employees and leaders.
- Foundational knowledge of core HR disciplines, including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR policies.
- Proven ability to support HR programs and processes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Working knowledge of HR data and reports to identify basic trends and insights.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborative effectively across teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and grow within HR.

Salary Range: $63,300 - $87,900 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
