October 6, 2023: On Friday, October 13, Gap will release the Gap Reissue x Sean Wotherspoon collection, the latest drop in the brand’s global partnership with esteemed collector, artist, and designer, Sean Wotherspoon. The limited-edition collection, inspired by Sean’s favorite essentials from the brand’s archives and his largest apparel collaboration to date, reinvents Gap’s bestselling icons showcases Sean’s fresh and unique design approach by combining the perfect mix of nostalgia and modernism in every stitch to celebrate Sean’s passion for storytelling.

The Reissue collection includes 10 items, each capturing the essence of Gap's beloved essentials that were carefully chosen to cater to a diverse range of tastes – from archival textures and embroidered detailing to iconic designs and nostalgic charm. All styled back to loose denim and cords, the collection ranges in price from $29.95 - $158 includes a logo hoodie, denim jacket, corduroy baseball hat, anorak jacket, reversible half-zip pullover, and graphic tees. 

“The reversible nylon/fleece jacket always stood out to me growing up, whether seeing my dad wear it or on a mannequin at the Gap store when my mom was working there. I knew this was a silhouette I needed to flip. I really wanted to nail some of my favorite Gap classics with a focus on quality, texture, and color,” said Sean Wotherspoon. “I am honored to use this platform with Gap to inspire the next generation of creative minds and really champion what it means to be an artistic original in present day.”  

As a renowned vintage collector and lifelong brand fan, whose mother worked at a Gap store in the 90s, Sean worked with the brand to hand select a line of iconic pieces to bring back to the shelves, in a modern way.  Earlier this month, Sean was featured in Gap’s fall campaign beside a dynamic and diverse cast of talent and Sean’s two children who inspire him most, Loretta and Nash. This reissue release is also on the heels of three successful Vintage Gap drops in the US and Japan and the announcement of Sean as Gap’s Vintage Curator, earlier this year. 

The Gap Reissue x Sean Wotherspoon collection will be available for an exclusive first look at an immersive experience with Sean in Berlin on the 9th presented by Zalando (sign up here). On October 13, the collection will be available on and in select Gap stores nationwide with additional drops in global markets throughout the month.
