About the Role

The Finance Director, Marketing Shared Services (MSS), will lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis for media investments across the organization. This role is responsible for consolidating and managing media budgets, monitoring performance against budget, and ensuring accurate reporting of media-related financial data. In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, the role will partner with brand finance teams, business leaders, and external media agencies to provide transparency, accountability, and actionable insights on media spend and performance.

The Finance Director will also play a critical role in overseeing the implementation and adoption of the new Anaplan system, ensuring robust data integration, process optimization, and user adoption across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

Core Finance & FP&A

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting for media spend across brands.
  • Consolidate media data and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Media Investment Oversight

  • Track and assess daily media performance metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness of spend.
  • Collaborate with media agencies to reconcile budgets, pacing, and monthly spend by brand.
  • Manage and monitor SG&A budgets for the MSS team, providing variance analysis and actionable explanations.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  • Partner with corporate and brand finance teams to ensure consistency and alignment in media-related financial data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on budget reallocations or optimizations to maximize ROI.
  • Act as the primary finance liaison for cross-functional media discussions (brand teams, marketing, agencies).
  • Oversee ad hoc financial modeling for new projects led by the MSS organization.

Anaplan System Management

  • Lead the final stages of Anaplan implementation for marketing financial planning and reporting.
  • Ensure successful system rollout across the organization, driving adoption and training for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Analyze, validate, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and reliability of the system.
  • Continuously enhance Anaplan functionality to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
  • Act as the business owner for ongoing system governance and upgrades.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and budget management.
  • Strong understanding of media performance metrics and marketing ROI.
  • Experience working in or with large, matrixed organizations and media/advertising agencies.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems; prior Anaplan implementation or management strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data into business insights.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships across finance, marketing, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams or large cross-functional initiatives.

Salary Range: $175,100 - $232,000 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
