About the Role

The 3D Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end creation of 3D assets for Athleta. The 3D specialist will ensure the success of 3D product creation and development to meet our product to market goals. The specialist will collaborate with Designers, Technical designers, Product Engineers and Vendors to ensure delievrables are met with the quality needed. They will collaborate, influence, and deliver our 3D needs with cross-functional partners throughout the product development, and key milestones for sign-off. They will enable business efficiencies by contributing to digital worklfows and high quality asset creation. This role will serve as part of ATHLETA’s DX LAB and is critical to the unlock of digital transformation at ATHLETA. This team will serve as our technical experts and pinoeers paving the way of our digital future, driving process and new new ways of working brining forth the latest technologies and requirements as it relates to 3D.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Design, cross functional teams, and vendors in the development of 3D styles, leveraging digital patterns, blocks and digital libraries.
  • Build and maintain digital libraries to satisfy business needs (Blocks, Colors, Outfits, Fabric and Trims, Avatars)
  • Support, create and maintain digital product technical standards.
  • Pave the way for our digital future, by making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Serve as an evangelist and SME for 3D practices to help unlock value for the team.
  • Create construction details for 3D assets to ensure technical accuracy
  • Create 3D colorways to support critical milestones and speed to market opportunities.
  • Assits in training and support as needed serving as technical experts.
  • Represents 3D in key milestone meetings in collaboration with internal and external teams.

  • 2-3 years 3D experience in apparel
  • 2-3 years software proficiency in Browzwear, CLO3D, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, 3D design for apparel
