About the Role

The Director of Store Productivity leads the strategy and vision for standard operating procedures in stores, overall process improvement initiatives that optimize labor funding across all Gap brand stores and oversees daily operations and workload planning to ensure efficient execution across the fleet.

This role will continually and proactively evolve operational processes to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance in stores, improving Gap’s competitive positioning and delivery of strong earnings. This leader will integrate and operationalize all planned activities to enable stores, field management and HQ business partners to perform at peak. They will lead a team who drives high performance, operational excellence, and will maximum productivity and
profitability through ongoing testing, rollout of updated SOPs, change management, and the ongoing training of our field teams to ensure sustainability and consistent compliance.

This Director will work closely with Store Operations & Field Leadership to identify business needs and then provide the tools and resources necessary to act upon them. They will inspire others and foster a culture of continuous growth and evolution. They will help us evolve from running stores to creating an experience that’s an integrated part of our store culture, setting us apart from competitors and helping us drive results.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee development, execution and communication of key strategies to improve store process and logistics.
  • Analyze opportunities, drives results and conducts hindsight to measures success of process improvement initiatives in the store environment.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure any updated strategies are grounded, executed and sustainable in the store environment.
  • Develop and manage budget, resources and strategic roadmap for all store productivity initiatives.
  • Oversee field workload planning to allow for optimal and most efficient execution.
  • Own tracking and improvement efforts of daily and product operations, SOPs, routines and disciplines.
  • Partner with Store Operations Leadership Team to define, prioritize, and implement strategic initiatives in support of brand strategies and financial goals.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to the Field Leader Team, understanding the impact of initiatives on the customer, workload, employee engagement, and compliance.
  • Preserves Brand image and priorities in stores, with customer as the primary focus.
  • Develops individuals and fosters collaborative team environment; provides thoughtful and timely feedback.

  • Highly experienced in Project Management and project tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Experienced with process engineering and/or conducting time studies.
  • Extensive writing and communication experience for a retail audience.
  • Experienced in presentation creation and facilitation.
  • Experienced in change management process and strategy.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in multi-store retail operations and/or store operations.

Salary Range: $164,200 - $217,500 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
