About the Role

As the Associate Manager of Brand & Retail Marketing, you will help build seasonal marketing and retail strategies, ensuring the Athleta brand and product campaigns have a strong presence across our fleet of stores. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, the Associate Manager is a pivotal member of the Athleta Marketing team. This role is responsible for supporting seasonal marketing initiatives, planning with cross functional partners and execution of marketing within North Amerca. The role must also think globally, partnering with our global franchise team to ensure our campaigns strategies are shared broadly and adapted locally while staying true to our brand guidelines.

What You'll Do

  • Help build the seasonal omni-channel marketing and retail marketing strategy; play a role in seasonal hind sighting and gather ongoing competitive insights to inform strategies and stay relevant 
  • Lead briefing and collaborating with retail creative partners—Visual Merchandising, Creative, Field Visual and Retail Production— to develop store-specific marketing that reflects seasonal strategies and drives store experience impact 
  • Execute and implement retail marketing strategy, collaborating closely with retail partners to address store-level needs
  • Assist in development of the seasonal omni product messages; aid in execution of additional brand marketing priorities and special projects
  • Be a critical contributor to seasonal omni asset planning applying strong organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Partner with global Franchise team to aid in execution of local marketing campaigns and adaptation of North American marketing, ensuring franchise partners are kept up to speed on new strategies and execution details
  • Help optimize tools and templates within the Brand Marketing organization and serve as the key owner of updating key calendars and roadmaps—inclusive of retail marketing calendar and share-out 

Who You Are

  • 2-4 years marketing/strategy experience at a consumer brand and/or marketing agency; fashion/apparel experience a nice to have  
  • Experience bringing omni marketing plans to life in retail environments
  • Team player with strong people skills who can foster dynamic relationships and work collaboratively with cross functional team members 
  • Knowledge about the sports/fitness industry and have passion for living the Athleta brand mission 
  • Self-starter with an innate sense of curiosity and eagerness to dive into multiple projects and have the strong ability to prioritize 
  • Positive attitude, high energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment and comfortable dealing with new situations and ambiguity 
  • Flexible, incredibly detail-oriented, organized and has the ability to meet/stay on deadlines;  profcient in PPT, Excel, Word and strong administrative skills
  • Hungry to learn and grow within the Athleta Marketing team
