About the role

We’re looking for

a Project Manager of Process Optimization to support the Process Optimization team in identifying opportunities to streamline work, reduce waste and increase profitability of Gap Inc. stores across North America. In this role you will help design, document, and evaluate processes to efficiently operate our stores while helping to identify improvement opportunities and cost/benefit of implemented solutions.

This role serves as a store process and operational expert, helping create the conditions for consistent execution of brand standards in stores, collaborating to establish effective change management practices and influencing operational deployments.

What you'll do

  • Project manage re-engineering strategies of store processes, including work design and measurement, time and motion studies, process flow analysis

  • Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive process optimization projects

  • Assess current and new processes to identify areas to improve efficiency and increase store productivity

  • Support content development for field-facing communications, tools and resources associated with the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and other key operational initiatives

  • Spend time with Field Leaders, in stores, understanding their needs and pain-points in order to contribute to the identification of solutions that simplify their workload

  • Influence key business partners and represent the needs of stores and their customers in all interactions.

Who you are

  • Problem Solving – articulates successful response to challenging situations utilizing available data and knowledge while considering alternative solutions.

  • Customer Impact – identifies opportunities within the store environment and offers solutions to improve the overall employee and customer experience.

  • Analytical – uses quantitative and qualitave data to identify pain-points, formulate hypothesis and determine solutions

  • Detail Orientated – demonstrates attention to detail in the creation of processes and monitors implementation to ensure proper execution.

  • Time Management – demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize and adapt appropriately.

  • Proficient in Micrisoft Office applications and workflow management applications

  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and project management tools and methodology

  • Industrial or Process Engineering background a plus

  • Retail Stores experience preferred
