About the role

Do you have your finger on the pulse of all things social, retail, editorial, and fashion? Banana Republic is seeking a passionate Associate Marketing Manager, Social to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in the strategic development, creative vision, editorial storytelling and execution of all Banana Republic social media campaigns, focusing on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other platforms. The key to success in this role? Your quick ability to take initiative, organizational skills, as well as being both analytically and creatively minded. You’ll report to the Social Media Manager.

What you'll do

  • Develop and assist in execution of Banana Republic social media accounts – across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and other emerging platforms

  • Assist in the ideation and curation of organic social media content, with an eye to a diverse range of editorial storytelling programs at the core of BR’s social strategy

  • Schedule and monitor social editorial calendar; experience with Dash Hudson, Airtable, Pixlee, and Brandwatch a plus

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners and obtain necessary assets and details for social media/campaign amplifications: creative, copy, Gap Inc., PR, production, site, email, merchandising

  • Manage influencer network by briefing direct creators or agencies, ownership of mailing and tracking product deliverables, and interacting to strengthen relationship(s)

  • Foster dialogue, engagement with consumers, advocates and influencers across all social channels

  • Assist in Social’s new design and support the development of brand initiatives

  • Assist in weekly and monthly reporting

  • Proactive and reactive of social media trends, focusing on the fashion industry

Who you are

  • A social media expert who knows the difference between brand usage and individual usage

  • Previous experience with social media management and publishing/planning tools

  • Previous experience at a publication or digital publication preferred

  • Highly self-motivated, positive team player who takes initiative but remains flexible and calm in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and the ability to be resourceful is a must; 24/7 always on mentality

  • Passionate about visual storytelling; you can curate beautiful Pinterest boards and overtly obsess about your Instagram feed aesthetic

  • Quick-witted and know all things social media

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a team and deliver results

  • Data driven – you know how to find out what’s working and what isn’t

  • Knowledge of e-commerce and influencer management

  • Strong creative background is a plus; photography and/or graphic design
