About the role

This position is responsible for all equipmentPreventative Maintenance (PM’s) and repairs to forklifts, conveyors, associatedDC equipment, general maintenance of the DC, and the ability to perform alllower level technician duties. Identifyand troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical failures. This position requires the ability toeffectively troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical controls. Thisposition is responsible for completing equipment moves and new equipmentinstallations—including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics. Safely operatewarehouse equipment and machinery. Knowledge of the assigned DC technology and process flow. Provide technical training to TechnicianAssistant’s and Technician I’s. Workwithin safety guidelines and under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor.Willing to work any and all shifts including weekends and overtime.

Ability toconduct routine repairs/tasks with shop equipment: band saw, Arc and Migwelders, Torch, Install copper tubing, Hydraulic press; drill press; grinder

Performconveyor maintenance tasks:

Criticalpreventative and predictive maintenance

Motor andspeed reducer rebuilds

ID, research,and cross-reference parts

Ability tomaintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex sortation systems

Performforklift maintenance tasks:

Criticalpreventative and predictive maintenance

Drive unit andcomponent rebuilds

ID, research,and cross-reference parts

Ability tomaintain, repair, and troubleshoot forklift components and systems

Performassociated maintenance tasks on 3-phase electrical systems under 600 volts (toinclude all subsystems):

Criticalpreventative and predictive maintenance

ID, research,and cross-reference parts

Ability totroubleshoot, repaireplace system components

Performadvanced conveyor system controls maintenance:

Proper use ofelectrical PPE and tools

Size andinstall electrical circuits

Troubleshooting– to include use of wiring diagrams; ability to interrupt relay logic

PLC – basicunderstanding of ladder logic and navigation of software to troubleshoot

Performgeneral plumbing tasks

Lead specialprojects

Communicatewith fellow workers on a technical level

Must remainproficient in all the maintenance areas required at our facility

Ableto operate all maintenance tools to include forklifts and lift equipment

Who you are

Knowledge, skills &abilities:

Mustbe able to demonstrate electrical knowledge—understanding electrical prints;troubleshooting; safe practices

Strongwritten and oral communication skills

Mustmaintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times

Minimum experience:

2years of practical experience as a maintenance technician I is preferred

PHYSICAL

Standand walk for up to 100% of shift

Abilityto lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.

Abilityto lift, push, pull up to 20-30 lbs. for approximately 50% of shift

Abilityto go up and down stairs up to 10% of shift

Reachat shoulder level for approximately 50% of shift

Reachoverhead for approximately 10% of shift

Musthave sufficient arm/hands dexterity to operate equipment

Sufficientsight to accurately read essential operational equipment
