About the role

Looking for a Social Media Senior Marketing Manager to lead the Gap social media strategy and content across various social media channels. The ideal candidate is an expert in the ever-evolving social media marketing world, who can merge passions for strong branding and visual storytelling in a way that drives engagement and brand consistency, builds community and increases site traffic and customer acquisition.

This position reports to the Head of Brand Communications and leads a team of two direct reports.

In this role, you'll be expected to drive business objectives and opportunities across social media channel while partnering with brand marketing and creative. This individual will be an expert on digital media marketing trends to build out social strategies, ideate with internal stakeholders, and lead social content distribution and execution of plans.

What you'll do

  • Serve as brand social lead, developing and executing best-in-class social strategy and programs in alignment with stakeholders and cross-functional partners, with a shared goal to increase engagement and drive organic social traffic to the website

  • Lead strategy, planning, and execution for Gap social media channels, including ongoing/daily brand posts, social campaigns, platform management, and consumer engagement

  • Provide social insight and point of view in the development of 360 planning, calendaring, and guidelines for brand marketing campaigns and programs

  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools, best practices, competitive activity, and other social media leaders to best leverage technology and trends

  • Provide ad-hoc, biweekly, and monthly analysis on qualitative and quantitative performance and recommendations for optimizations to the marketing department

  • Define and establish social content calendar for the brand, including developing content concepts from idea to execution

Who you are

  • 8+ years of experience running the social media strategy for a brand or company, preferably with a fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brand

  • Proven track record of developing social campaigns across multiple platforms and multiple formats

  • Experience with content management platforms (e.g. Dash Hudson, Social Studio, Sprinklr, etc.)

  • Deep strategic and operational understanding of the social and digital space, and experience working with an in-house creative team

  • Has managed a team before, and can contribute to their individual performance, while coaching and empowering them.

  • Domain expertise on social media best practices on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Tik Tok and emerging platforms.

  • Knowledge and interest in content creators and influencers on social media and ability to quickly adapt to the evolving influencer landscape

  • Passion for pop culture, specifically how social media users find and digest fashion trends online
