From its Integrated Rewards Program to expanded fulfillment center capabilities and more, Gap Inc. begins holiday hiring to support a growing omnichannel network 

This year, Gap Inc. announced several new initiatives rooted in enhancing the customer experience at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta. It streamlined its loyalty program and made it seamless for customers to earn points and redeem awards; it enabled Instagram checkout to make shopping even easier; and in support of its growing online business, Gap Inc. expanded its fulfillment center engineering capabilities and created more processing power for units handled per day.

Currently, the company is hiring across its full network of Customer Experience (fulfillment) Centers, Contact Centers and retail stores. 

New ways of working to support a digitally-led business 

With enhanced automation capabilities and more processing power in its Customer Experience Centers launched just in time for the holiday, this season, Gap Inc. is looking to fill “no experience required” roles at its fulfillment centers that involve opportunities to interact with ground-breaking fulfillment technologies – including AI solutions and robotics. Other responsibilities might include packing, assembling merchandise, or preparing orders for shipment. Fulfillment center employees will have the ability to choose which hours during the day, nights and weekends they prefer to work, with the option to work more hours if they want.  

Contact Center employees can also enjoy flexibility, as they are all currently working remotely, with Gap Inc. supplying them with the necessary technical equipment and support to assist customers from home.  

With more than 2,500 stores across the U.S. and Canada, Gap Inc. is also adding talent to help with Buy Online, Pick Up In Store, ship from store and contactless Curbside Pickup this holiday season – all while customers can more quickly accumulate points and redeem awards through the company’s recently revamped Integrated Rewards Program.   

Providing benefits that matter  

Seasonal associates will enjoy best-in-class benefits and the same merchandise discount as the company’s current associates, just in time for holiday gifting: 50 percent off regular-priced merchandise at Old Navy, Athleta, Gap and Banana Republic stores; and 30 percent off at Outlet and Factory stores. Additional seasonal benefits include resources for sourcing childcare, elder companions and more, short-term counseling and referral services, and a robust Community Discount program offering thousands of discounts on goods and services including health and fitness, wireless services & computer/technology, airfare, hotels, car rentals, entertainment, museums, and theme parks. 

Creating opportunities through community impact  

As part of the commitment to its communities, Old Navy is continuing to support underserved youth between the ages of 16-24 facing barriers to employment through the company’s This Way ONWard program, tackles systemic barriers to employment by providing opportunity to youth, helping them find their first job within the retailer’s family of brands. The company is dedicated to hiring applicants that have potential, not credentials, and are proud to see participants of the program grow with these opportunities. Old Navy has committed to hiring five percent of their new entry-level store hires to be This Way ONward participants by 2025.
