Environmental data represents Calendar Year (Jan - Dec)
* 2013 data was restated in 2014 as a result of refined site lists and greater visibility into open and close dates. Restated data only varies from previously reported data by approximately 1%.
** Gap Inc. measured global energy and emissions data for the first time in 2014. Previous years covered only the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
*** No reduction rate could be calculated for 2014 since this was the first year Gap Inc. reported on global energy and GHG data.
**** Headquarters scope includes corporate, field and headquarter offices and call centers.
***** Data is self-reported by Tier 1 strategic suppliers and includes extropolated data for suppliers who did not report.
****** In 2014, the percentage of facilities passing the Water Quality Program decreased to 81% from 98% in 2013. Because our updated WQP policies and procedures were only approved and implemented in July 2014, the WQP 2014 program only started in August, several months later than scheduled. This means that laundries had far less time to prepare and finish the testing. All facilities passed the WQP by March 2015.
*******In 2018, we aligned the Water Quality Program with the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines and updated our scoring. “Passing” refers to denim laundries that met at least the Foundational Level for Conventional Parameters
