Appreciation Cards

Appreciation Cards are to be used as raffle and auction items at fundraising events or as student incentives. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we generally donate one Appreciation Card per organization per year. Please note: We are unable to reply to follow-up telephone calls or other inquiries. If we are able to provide an Appreciation Card for your organization's event, you will receive it in the mail within six weeks from the date the request was received. 

To request an Appreciation Card, please submit a one-page letter on your organization's letterhead to the appropriate address below. The letter should include the following information:

•	A brief description of your organization
•	Your organization's federal tax-exempt number
•	A description of the project or event for which the Appreciation Card will be used
•	The date the donation is needed
•	How Gap Inc.'s contribution will be acknowledged at the event

Please note that Appreciation Cards cannot be donated to the following:

•	Political organizations
•	Religious organizations, except those with a social service program that operates separately from the church. The program must have its own tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status, and must have its own mission statement and board of directors.
•	Organizations that discriminate
•	Individuals

Appreciation Card regulations:

•	No amount can be added to the balance of an Appreciation Card
•	Only one Appreciation Card can be used per transaction
•	No refunds will be issued for unused value
•	Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, used toward the purchase of a Gap GiftCard, or as payment on a GapCard Account

Please send your request to the appropriate office, following the brand and geographical guidance below. (Please send your request to the office closest to you; only one request per organization per year can be considered.)
