Steve Sunnucks is President, Europe, for Gap Inc.'s International division. In
this role, he is responsible for all aspects of Gap's product development and
retail operations in the United Kingdom, France and Ireland, as well as
exploring new opportunities for growth in Europe.
In his 27-year career, Sunnucks has held senior leadership roles with large,
well-known retailers including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury and the Burton Group
(now Arcadia). Prior to joining Gap Inc. in June 2005, he spent four years as
Chief Executive Officer of New Look, a large, publicly listed European
clothing retailer with over 700 stores in the U.K., Ireland and France. During
his term as CEO, he repositioned the company as a fast-fashion brand, launched
and rolled out a new large store format and introduced new product categories,
all of which drove strong profit and tripled the share price.
Sunnucks graduated from Sheffield University in England with an honors degree
in economics.
