Richard Dickson

President and CEO, Gap Inc.

Richard Dickson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Gap Inc., leading its $15 billion business and a global team of nearly 90,000 across a portfolio including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta.  

Dickson originally joined Gap Inc. as a Board Director in 2022, while he served in his previous role as President and Chief Operating Officer of Mattel.  

At Mattel, Dickson led a portfolio of global brands, overseeing innovation strategy, design and development, brand marketing and franchise management.  

Under his leadership, the company developed and launched the Mattel Playbook, a brand-building approach that has been instrumental in growing Mattel’s power brands and accelerating Mattel’s transformation.  

During his tenure, Mattel grew some of the world’s most powerful and purpose-driven brands, including Barbie (the #1 doll property globally), Hot Wheels (the #1 vehicle property globally), and Fisher-Price (the #1 Infant, Toddler, and Preschool property globally).* Dickson also executive produced the “Barbie” movie, which broke box office records to become the highest grossing film of the summer, with a soundtrack that generated four Billboard Hot 100 hit singles. 

Prior to Mattel, Dickson was President and CEO of Branded Businesses for The Jones Group, where he led global design and development, including marketing and merchandising, wholesale, retail, and e-commerce, brought new relevance to dated fashion labels, and acquired and developed new brands.  

He also served for more than a decade as an executive at Bloomingdale’s before co-founding Gloss.com, the first online retailer dedicated to high-end cosmetics. Gloss.com was acquired by Estee Lauder in 2000.  

Mr. Dickson received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Maryland and completed the UCLA Anderson School of Management executive program. He remains a member of the Board of Directors at Gap Inc., as well as the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and serves on the Board of Advisors for The Robert H. Smith School of Business at The University of Maryland.

Katrina O’Connell

Katrina O’Connell is the Chief Financial Officer, leading Gap Inc.’s global finance function. 

With over 25 years at Gap Inc., Katrina has extensive experience across both brands and functions, from Brand Finance (both high-growth and mature) to Inventory Management to Investor Relations— and has a proven track record of driving a high-performance culture.

President and CEO, Old Navy

Horacio "Haio" Barbeito is the President and CEO of Old Navy, where he leads the global apparel and accessories brand in delivering on its unique value proposition, offering style, fit, quality and cultural relevance at jaw-dropping prices.

Haio is a multi-disciplined, people-driven leader with deep customer empathy who brings together merchandising, marketing, supply chain and store operations knowledge across various geographies. Prior to joining Old Navy, Haio spent 26 years with Walmart, including a decade in CEO roles for Walmart’s various international businesses. Most recently, he spent nearly three years serving as CEO for Walmart’s $22 billion Canada business where he led the team’s 100,000 associates, oversaw the Walmart Canada modernization plan and spearheaded a transformation of Walmart’s retail experience.  

Originally from Argentina, Haio enjoys spending time with his family – including his wife Lenny and his four children; Horacio, Victoria, Federico and Pedro. He has a Degree in Management from Universidad Catolica Argentina and completed the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School, in London UK.

Mark Breitbard

President and CEO, Gap Brand

Mark Breitbard leads Gap, one of the world’s most iconic apparel brands and the authority on American casual style.

Mark is a leader with clear vision and the proven ability to drive transformation and innovation. He has more than 25 years of retail leadership experience, serving in numerous product, creative and management roles at major global brands. He began leading Gap global in 2020 and has laid a foundation to turn the brand around through new positioning and a new operating model. Mark held leadership positions across Gap and was instrumental in delivering the product-led resurgence of Gap’s North America business between 2010-2013.  

In 2017, he rejoined Gap Inc. as CEO and President for Banana Republic and during that time stabilized the business and launched new access points, including a rental subscription service, Style Passport, and a partnership with thredUP, the world’s largest fashion resale platform.

Prior to this, Mark served as chief executive officer at The Gymboree Corporation from 2013 until early 2017. From 2010 to 2013, Mark held leadership positions across Gap North America, where he was instrumental in delivering the product-led resurgence of Gap’s North America business. He also served as chief merchandising and creative officer of Old Navy from 2009 to early 2010. Previously, Mark served in leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch. 

Mark graduated from Vassar College and earned a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Sandra Stangl

President and CEO, Banana Republic

Sandra Stangl is the head of Banana Republic, a global brand that offers affordable luxury by using the finest materials with the latest fabric innovations to create timeless, modern, and versatile style.  

With more than 25 years of retail leadership experience, Sandra has a strong background in driving design vision and successfully transforming and growing brands through new business extensions and lifestyle experiences. Most recently, she co-founded and was the Chief Merchant of MINE, a pure-play home business.   

Previously, Sandra spent 23 at Williams Sonoma, where she was part of a small team that developed and launched two brands—Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen and held numerous leadership positions, including President of Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and Pottery Barn Teen. Sandra also served as the President, Chief Merchandising and New Business Development Officer for Restoration Hardware.

President and CEO, Athleta

Chris Blakeslee is President and CEO of Athleta, a certified B Corporation and performance lifestyle brand with a mission of empowering a community of active women and girls. 

Chris is an experienced leader with broad expertise in the apparel retail and wholesale industries, including roles in marketing, sales, product portfolio management, operations and supply chain. Prior to Athleta, he served as President of sister companies Alo Yoga and Bella+Canvas. 

Under Blakeslee's leadership, Alo Yoga focused on a fashion-forward approach to wellness, building community and brand awareness with high-profile influencers, as well as store and category expansion to drive growth. At the same time, Blakeslee led the expansion of premium apparel wholesaler Bella+Canvas into the retail space, offering customers direct access to product both online and in stores.

Prior to this, Blakeslee held several senior positions at Broder Brothers (now Alphabroder), a wholesale distributor of branded products and services. He began his career in industrial manufacturing and distribution. Blakeslee holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

Eric Chan is the Chief Business and Strategy Officer for Gap Inc., leading the company’s Strategy, Corporate Planning, B2B and International Commerce, Loyalty, Procurement, and Real Estate and Facilities teams.

With more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience at both Fortune 500 and start-up companies, Eric brings a proven track record of enabling creative and entrepreneurial cultures through sound long-range strategies, fiscal and organizational goal-setting and rigorous operations oversight.  

Prior to joining Gap Inc., Eric served as CFO for the LA Clippers, where he led the organization’s administrative operations, long-range planning and project management. Previously, Eric served as COO for The Bouqs Company and, prior to that, CFO for Loot Crate, where he helped scale the company from a startup to $165 million in revenue. During that time, the company was named the Fastest Growing Company in the Unites States by Inc Magazine. Before that, he served as Finance SVP for Mattel and Head of Management, Marketing and Business Development for Cisco Systems. 

In 2020, Eric won the LA Business Journal’s Private Company CFO of the Year Award. That same year, Gold House named him to its A100 List, which honors Asian Pacific leaders who made the greatest impact on culture and society over the past year. Eric is also on the Board of Directors of Heritage Financial Corporation.  

He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Amy Thompson

Chief People Officer

Amy Thompson is the Chief People Officer for Gap Inc. In this role, she oversees all global Human Resources functions including Equality & Belonging, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Shared Services.

With more than 25 years of experience leading Human Resources for world-class companies, iconic brands and scaled retail operations, Amy is a purpose-driven leader who specializes in building high-performing business teams and influencing positive cultural change and cross-functional collaboration.  

Prior to joining Gap Inc., Amy, served as Chief People Officer at Mattel, Inc., where she successfully led the effort to elevate the company’s corporate mission, purpose and values, while supporting a comprehensive business transformation with an improved operating model, talent initiatives, and enhanced performance incentive programs. The impact of Amy’s leadership has been recognized by Forbes, Fast Company, the Human Rights Campaign and the Great Place to Work Institute. 

Prior to joining Mattel, Amy served as Chief People Officer for TOMS Shoes, where she successfully developed and implemented organizational plans to scale the company globally by elevating talent and direct-to-consumer capability, and founded TOMS Leading Ladies, an organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring women leaders. Previously, she held several HR executive leadership roles at Starbucks Coffee Company, Ticketmaster Corporation and Citysearch.com. 

Amy received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Chaminade University and holds a master's degree in organizational development from Azusa Pacific University.

Julie Gruber

Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary

As Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Julie leads the Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, Employee and Labor Relations, Asset Protection and Global Security functions for Gap Inc.

As Corporate Secretary, she is a trusted advisor to the board and works closely with the Chairman of the Board and the CEO. Julie’s teams protect the people, property, reputation and information of Gap Inc.’s employees, customers and communities.

Over her career, Julie has had the opportunity to lead a variety of teams including Real Estate, Government Affairs, Sustainability, the Gap Foundation, and Corporate Administration in addition to all aspects of Legal and Compliance. Julie established Gap Inc.’s Cyber Security and Privacy Council, co-founded the company’s Risk Committee and chairs the Integrity and Corporate Crisis teams. During her tenure with the company, she has built a strong track record of leading Gap Inc. through various crisis, acquisitions, and global expansions. Additionally, she has significant experience across branding, intellectual property, and franchising.     

An avid champion for diversity, Julie drove Gap Inc. to join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization of more than 300 corporate legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession in the U.S.  In addition, she led Gap Inc. to be one of the first corporate legal department sponsors of Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule initiative, which helps drive and measure diversity across law firm leadership.      

Prior to joining Gap Inc., she was an associate at Bronson, Bronson and McKinnon in San Francisco and clerked for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte in the Federal District Court in San Jose.  Julie is a graduate of the University of California’s Hastings College of Law and received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yale University. Julie serves on the Boards of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and RILA’s Retail Litigation Center.

Zac Posen

Creative Director, Gap Inc. and Chief Creative Officer, Old Navy

Zac Posen is the Executive Vice President, Creative Director of Gap Inc. and Chief Creative Officer of Old Navy.  

As Creative Director of Gap Inc., Zac serves as a cultural curator and creative partner to CEO Richard Dickson, and as Chief Creative Officer of Old Navy, he leads design, merchandising and marketing for the second largest apparel brand in the US., and Gap Inc.’s largest brand.

Zac is an award-winning fashion designer and entrepreneur, celebrated for his technical excellence and body-positive designs. Over 25 years, his extensive career has included red-carpet couture, ready to wear, accessories and costume design. Zac was invited to be a member of France's chambre syndicale de la haute couture and his work has received awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and many others. 

During his tenure at his namesake clothing line, Zac Posen, he also served as Creative Director for Brooks Brothers Womenswear, designed secondary lines at the House of Z LLC, and redesigned uniforms for Delta Airlines. His work has also been featured in the feature film, The Outfit, the Sex and the City franchise, and in Ryan Murphy’s television series “Feud.”

Born and raised in New York, Posen attended London’s Central Saint Martins University.

Zac Posen is the Executive Vice President, Creative Director of Gap Inc. and Chief Creative Officer of Old Navy.  

As Creative Director of Gap Inc., Zac serves as a cultural curator and creative partner to CEO Richard Dickson, and as Chief Creative Officer of Old Navy, he leads design, merchandising and marketing for the second largest apparel brand in the US., and Gap Inc.’s largest brand.

Zac is an award-winning fashion designer and entrepreneur, celebrated for his technical excellence and body-positive designs. Over 25 years, his extensive career has included red-carpet couture, ready to wear, accessories and costume design. Zac was invited to be a member of France's chambre syndicale de la haute couture and his work has received awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and many others. 

During his tenure at his namesake clothing line, Zac Posen, he also served as Creative Director for Brooks Brothers Womenswear, designed secondary lines at the House of Z LLC, and redesigned uniforms for Delta Airlines. His work has also been featured in the feature film, The Outfit, the Sex and the City franchise, and in Ryan Murphy’s television series “Feud.”

Born and raised in New York, Posen attended London’s Central Saint Martins University.

Sally Gilligan

Chief Supply Chain & Transformation Officer

Sally Gilligan is the Chief Supply Chain & Transformation Officer for Gap Inc. leading the company’s global supply chain (sourcing, logistics and sustainability operations) that power its portfolio of brands, service over 58 million customers, and generate more than $15.6 billion in sales each year.

Sally also leads Gap Inc.’s ongoing transformation, resulting in hundreds of millions in annual savings while accelerating new capabilities across the enterprise and its portfolio of brands.

Sally has been with Gap Inc. for over 20 years, with a focus on strategy, transformation, capability building and cost optimization in roles that included Chief Growth Transformation Officer, leading strategic planning, new business development, government affairs and sustainability; CIO, overseeing the company’s technology transformation and the engine that drives its retail, e-commerce and global enterprise for thousands of employees and millions of customers.

Sally also served as SVP of Product Operations and Supply Chain Strategy where she led a global team responsible for building and deploying capabilities to enable the end-to-end demand based operating model. This included sourcing & fulfillment strategy, product management for all operations design through inventory management and fulfillment, and advanced analytics for product costing, inventory, and network optimization.  
Prior to Gap Inc., Sally worked in management consulting and financial services. She holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.  

She serves as Chair of the Gap Foundation, and additionally serves on the board of directors for the American Apparel & Footwear Association, Big Commerce, and RISE.

Gurmeet Singh

Chief Digital and Technology Officer

Gurmeet Singh is the Chief Digital and Technology officer for Gap Inc. leading the company’s technology, digital transformation, data science and analytics, customer insights and personalization, and product management functions.

Gurmeet brings extensive and unique experience driving multiple digital transformations across retail, financial services, supply chain, and software corporations, including both in-house growth strategy roles and consulting roles.
 
Prior to joining Gap Inc., Gurmeet served as Chief Technology and Information Officer at Big Lots where he led retail technology transformation in support of the company’s growth agenda. Prior to Big Lots, Gurmeet was the catalyst for redefining convenience at 7-Eleven through digital product, software, data, and artificial intelligence while serving as the company’s Chief Digital, Information and Marketing Officer. He’s also led industry-first digital programs at Capital One, where he holds multiple patents through the launch of its integrated car buying and financing e-commerce solution. At FedEx, Gurmeet launched and drove key digital ecosystem strategies with partners such as HP, Google and Adobe. 
 
Gurmeet currently serves on the board of directors at Focus Brands, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT – Kanpur, India), a master’s degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
